Congratulation to Savannara!

Filed under: personal — Savan @ 8:00 pm

My brother , Savannara, just got a promotion recently becoming Nokia’s newest Marketing Communications Manager. He’s a sharp dude that’ll bring a lot of energy to the table. It’s funny: growing up he’s never been the most loquacious guy, so seeing him get a role like this is inspiring.

I hope to see him soon so he can school me on how to market mobile products in Finland (he lives there).

  1. Thanks dude. You are the loquacious one in our family, and you deserve all the credits. You owe me all those times I took you to your football games and especially those debates :o). Nah, anything for my little brother.

It’s really funny how a large corporation affects your personal growth and aspiration. For me, I don’t think I have ever wanted to design forever until I retire. Actually, not many people retire from Nokia, so I got like what…25+ more years…sigh.

So what is marketing communications all about? For me, it’s copywriting - providing the best tone of voice and language for internal and external customers.

I have to point out that it is a total career change and it may not be the last one, without a doubt. The point here is to build up my ambitious career portfolio and one day, it will all come together.

I think you mentioned coming to Finland sometime in October, since that is when we’ll add a new member to our family. You can be the realest uncle then.
