- Farecast is up for sale/merger. Oren Etzioni is a beast when it comes to technology startups.
- Buddy TV gets funding from Madrona.
- Dave Naffziger, former VP of Engineering at Judy’s Book, weighs in on the Google AppEngine and Django (which he’s building his new startup, Brand Verity, on)
- A Place for Mom’s gets a Community web site. It’s back by Battery Ventures and provides an online database of assisted living facilities. The demographic of this community will make it interesting to design and build. I’m going to assume there may not be much AJAX or Flash involved.
